So this was my first Portrait Shoot. It was so much fun and very challenging. The shots I got were definitely worth what I got. The portraits were not only of a family, but also a 3 month old. Not only was he very fun to take pictures of, but also babies get hot easily and can be very temperamental.
I also got to take some very creative family shots. It required me to think on the fly, which every photographer should be able to do. You have to adapt. The family wanted a pose they had seen, but it would require a high spot. The only problem was, the baby was getting too hot in the late morning, so we moved into a shadier spot, but that left me without a place to get above for the shot. So I got out my extendable monopod and my shutter release button and planned the shot very quickly.
I was overjoyed with the result from the shoot! Such a fun experience where I learned so much.
